Position: Estimating Coordinator

The individual who holds this position serves as the face or voice of our company to clients from “New Lead” to “Current Estimate” status. The Estimating Coordinator is responsible for scheduling estimators to meet clients at all new paint projects locally and nationally to generate a proposal, as well as tracking turnaround to ensure all proposals are submitted within a required time frame. They are responsible for managing estimators’ schedules, as well as other internal reports, such as the Leads List. They are a key player in making and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The Estimating Coordinator will also be required to help write and proof project proposals, therefore must be well-written and feel confident representing ProGroup Contracting in a professional manner. A writing sample will be required at time of interview.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling & daily management for all paint project estimates
  • Management of estimator’s schedules
  • Detailed tracking of all paint project leads and ensuring timely turnarounds
  • Tracking and approving job set-up documentation
  • Communication with clients, estimators, sales reps and subcontractors, while building and maintaining these relationships
  • Finding and on-boarding local and national subcontractors
  • Transfer of information across multiple departments
  • Incoming company calls
  • New lead & miscellaneous data entry
  • Out of office coverage
  • Estimating support & office support when in field
  • Troubleshooting and rescheduling
  • Proposal writing and proof reading
  • Tracking and assistance with proposal revisions
  • Creation of project presentations and proposal packages

Position: Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity within our Estimating Department for an experienced Estimator. The primary role of the Estimator is to provide accurate costing, therefore winning business by providing outstanding support to our regional sales and production teams. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Estimating. As estimators are often the first point of contact to client, good people and communication skills are a must. Preferred candidates will have knowledge of Xactimate and Quick-Bid software. Training is available for the right candidate if needed. Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Local travel will be necessary; vehicle and driver’s license required.

Duties to include:

  • Read, interpret and understand RFQ documents provided by clients and/or sales team.
  • Determine primary work scope of project and submit questions for clarification as required
  • Produce well written proposals in a timely manner.
  • Compile all information needed to produce a cost estimate, including determination of specialty services and trades that may be required.
  • Produce accurate job setup including supervision, labor, material, and equipment estimates to perform the work scope.
  • Work with both sales and production team to ensure quality of work and client satisfaction.
  • Review estimate with the Estimating Manager/Project Managers.
  • Develop consistent well written final proposal documents.

Essential Functions:

  • Capable of reading Blueprints/Drawings.
  • Strong Computer Skills: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Basic Understanding of Cost and Price Development
  • General Understanding of Building Materials
  • Possess Attention to Detail.
  • Takes direction as required from Senior Estimators
  • Willing to do what it takes to provide accurate estimates in a timely manner.
  • Have a general knowledge of contract /owner/engineer general terms and conditions

Desired Skills:

  • Prior Experience in Quoting & Estimating in both Renovations and Paint
  • Xactimate and Quick-Bid knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multitask

Position: Traveling Job Site Supervisor – New England

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of a Job Site Supervisor. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with clients, crews and management. We are quality individual who is looking for an opportunity to work in the construction and painting industry.   • Responsible for supervising onsite subcontractors & vendors
  • Prior Site Supervision experience required.
  • Travel throughout New England required (Local)
  • Applicant MUST have a reliable means of transportation
  • Basic Computer skills required.

  • Daily progress updates to Account Managers and supporting office staff
